Looking at the seal didn't feel like I was looking at a random metal sculpture on the street. Although it was my first time seeing the seal, I saw familiar things like the Egghead, bike lane, farmers market, and a double decker bus. Also, it seemed like a nice visual summary of what Davis is, what Davis pursues, and what the Davis community cares about.
